We want to thank everyone who supports our program and we hope to see your name in the running for next years awards. Every club secretary for both the AU and the IF should have received 25 Gold Bands in their club band packages this year. If you did not get a chance to pick bands up from your club we have plenty of bands here at the World of Wings. They are 10.00 each. For every 25 bands you purchase you are entitled to a Gold Banded youngster from one of our 41 pair of breeders. We give out the selections in order that the bands are paid for. If you purchased 25 bands in 2009 and have not received your bird it is most likely because the shipping cost has not been paid. Please call us if you would like to take care of the shipping cost so we can get your bird to you ASAP. We have added several new pairs for 2011 from some outstanding lofts in America. We now have 41 pair in our program! We have removed a few breeders because of age or because of slow production or because of low selection choice. We have replaced those birds with what we believe to be super quality pigeons. In the next several weeks we will be updating our list to reflect all the new pairs we will add with photo's and information on each pair. Please keep in mind that we can only breed so many from any one pair and when they are gone, there gone. We have increased the number of breeding pairs to help us fill the wants and needs of our customers but cannot promise you your first choices. We do our best to send out only quality pigeons to all of you regardless of which pair you choose and want to thank all of you who support our program including all the breeders who stepped forward to donate some of their best breeding stock for 2011. HEN 06 CU Sylvan 579 Blue Hen This super blue hen is from the best that M&D have to offer. This hens line has hit for many lofts in the UK. The G/sire "De Bandiet" was 42 times in the top 10% with 8 first place wins. Gaby himself was the under bidder on "Bandiet" at Vandenboschhes final sale. Super line of Vandenabelle pigeons in this new pair!

In the early nineties we purchased 54 direct Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons and we worked extremely hard to select the best from these bloodlines. We finally kept 22 out of the 54 and disposed of the rest. We also purchased over 80 Vandenabeeles from Koen Minderhoud and by selection we are looking to keep only the best 10 to 20 pigeons. We would like very much for our bloodlines to achieve results over in the U.S.A with the same impact as they have had in our own country, but without our birds being circulated throughout America this would be impossible. With this in mind I have offered our very good friend John Marles a partnership at his own loft in North America.

We are please to announce John has accepted our offer, so we shipped 34 pigeons over to John’s loft in 2005 which were direct children from all our champion breeders, many of them are parents to four, five and six generations of winners. These birds will be added to John’s already successful team of breeders, including birds he as already obtained from us over the last few years. Now this super family is available in the World of Wings Gold Band Program, NEW this year! pre-potent genetic pool that is responsible for 15 x 1st National Winners over the last seven years.

Cock 07 GFL 940 Blue Bar W.F pied A direct son of "Super Boy" and "Sex Appeal". After buying the Golden Mattens from Achiel Mattens he and Mike became good friends. When visiting Mike got to handle all of his top birds and hear what they had bred and won over the years. "Super Boys" name kept coming up as the father and G/father of his winning birds. In fact, there were over 20 G/children in those winning birds. What about the Golden Mattens? He was given to Ad Schaerlaeckens when he was a youngster. Dam is "Hofkens Princess", daughter of "Hofkens Best"who started off as a racer and destroyed his competition. Shipped to 30 races and won 30 early prizes.
